Atkins North America provides engineering consulting services and oversight of Central Florida Rail Corridor's (CFRC) Positive Train Control (PTC) vendor as part of a program management services contract, including oversight of the design, installation, testing, system integration, and monitoring of revenue service demonstration testing.

Primary support focsses on the development and eventual approval of the Positive Train Control Safety Plan (PTCSP), support of Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system implementation, oversight of the installation of PTC equipment onboard locomotives, developing and implementing a configuration management plan and configuration management training plan, as well as performing training audits of all CFRC operations and maintenance vendors.
